Hey ya’ll!
A couple days ago, I was talking to my mom, and I was like: “No one ever talks about being eleven. They talk about 10, because that’s your first double-digit, they talk about twelve, well, just because, and of course they talk about 13. But never about eleven.”
Take a sec and think about that. I’m currently eleven years old, but you might be older or younger than that age and either way you’ve lived it or have heard about it.
Eleven is that age when you think you can no longer order from the kids menu. One day, it says “10 years or younger”, and then when you're eleven it magically says “12 years or younger” and you're like UGHHHHHH!
We just kind of skip over it.
I guess.
It’s so weird!
Eleven is an age too!
I guess I just wanted to put that out there. We all know about it, but don’t say anything. I wonder if there are any other ages that are kinda like eleven.
Here’s my list:
1. Eleven
2. Nineteen
3. Seven
4. Fourteen
5. Some of the twenties, maybe a couple thirties, and then as you get older your age just doesn’t really matter anymore. Sometimes, I actually subtract my parents birth from the present year because my parents get their ages all mixed up!
It’s not a very big deal, but it sure is a conversation starter, or something to talk about over the lunch table, or bring up over an awkward silence.
Just so you know, a blog is sharing ideas, entries, stories and I think of it as an online journal that other people can read. I have not run out of ideas, but for now, I just thought this would be a weird thing to write about.
